Our Story

Gourmet Foods was established in early 1986 to distribute foods to hotels, clubs, caterers and airlines. Initially, only the local Los Angeles market was serviced by the manufacturing and distribution facility in Long Beach CA. Our distribution area quickly expanded from Los Angeles into Orange County and then the entire Southern California marketplace.

In October 1995, we purchased a new state-of-the-art 40,000 square foot USDA processing facility located in Rancho Dominguez CA. The move allowed us to continue improving and expanding our product lines.

Today, we have manufacturing and distribution centers servicing Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Francisco, Las Vegas, New York, Dallas, Denver and Hawaii. Our goal in partnering with our customers is to help them design their menus using our “custom made” items.

Our strength lies not only in the high quality of our product, but, in the relationship and personal rapport established by our sales staff with our customers.

As our customers are under increasing pressure to, on the one hand, cut costs (labor in particular) and on the other hand maintain quality food and service, they increasingly rely on the products and service we have to offer.
